woohoo! a day that most working professionals and students alike covet, for all the wrong reasons, ...sleeping in, making merry, and disregarding any conventional human capacity for eating, drinking and more eating. oh, wait, ...those are all the RIGHT reasons!

the highest peak in Arizona, the tallest of the San Francisco Peaks! october is supposed to be a late month for this hike. (personally, i was hoping to catch lots of snow at the peak, but despite being dressed for a frigid excursion, the beautiful and surprisingly warm, sunny weather was very welcome). the views and top-of-the-world sensation at the summit gave everybody a wonderful sense of accomplishment, beautiful views, a point of reflection, ...a natural high, ...oh wait, that must have been the lack of oxygen!

yes, ha ha, chuckle at the name of the creek if you like, ...but regardless of whether or not you're a pervert, the views, breeze of fresh air, and icy water of the creek are about the most refreshing sensations one could ask for as an escape from the 110 degree fall weather of the southern part of the state.
